"Systems Engineering is an interdisciplinary approach and means to enable the realization of successful systems. It focuses on defining customer needs and required functionality early in the development cycle, documenting requirements, then proceeding with design synthesis and system validation while considering the complete problem. Many projects consider the Technical process as the critical aspect within the Systems Engineering process. It is typically the most resource intensive activity however failure to address all four processes will result inefficencies and failures that can easily be avoided.
Singletrack has been retained to implement and execute all four avtivities within the Systems Engineering process. This has provided the skills to define and implement a framework that seamlessly integrates all four processes.
The generic systems engineering process defined by this standard is broken up into four catagories.
Technical Process : requirement definition, requiremenst analysis, architectural design, implementation, integration, verification, and validation.
Project Process: planning, assesment, contol, decision making, risk management, configuration managment, and information management.
Enterprise Process: enterprise management, investment management, SDLC process managment, resource management, and quality management.
Agreement Process: acquisistion and supply.
